New Eating Disorder Day Program Starting soon
February 26th, 2012 by Celia Pace
Many people, at some point in their life develop concerns about their weight and/or body shape. While going on the odd "diet" these days is considered normal, having these concerns interfere with a person's life to the point where they cease living a happy and healthy lifestyle is potentially harmful in the long term, with regard to both mental and physical wellbeing. The Hills Clinic is offering a new day group program specifically designed to help people who experience problems with eating (bingeing/restricting) and who have concerns with body weight and shape. Healthy participants will learn how to achieve a balanced lifestyle, while learning strategies to manage dysfunctional eating habits. They will also learn how emotions and stress impact on eating habits, and develop techniques and strategies aimed at building a healthy body image and self-esteem.
