rachel guthrie (clinical Psychologist)
Rachel is a member of the College of Clinical Psychologists. She has experience in both clinical research and treatment of anxiety and mood disorders, and has a PhD in Psychology from the University of New South Wales in the area of posttraumatic stress. She has been a lecturer on the Masters of Clinical Psychology programmes at the University of New South Wales and Macquarie University. Rachel works at The Hills Clinic, treating anxiety disorders (e.g., panic disorder, social phobia, generalised anxiety disorder, post-traumatic stress disorder) and mood disorders (e.g., major depressive disorder) in adolescents and adults. The psychological treatment of choice for these disorders is Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, which involves changing unhelpful thought patterns and behaviours.
dr. elizabeth seeley-wait (PSYCHOLOGIST)
Elizabeth is a Clinical Psychologist with expertise in a wide range of therapies including Cognitive and Dialectical Behavioural Therapies. She has recently returned from a year at Yale Medical School where she was a fellow in the Department of Psychiatry. In addition to her PhD and Masters in Clinical Psychology, Elizabeth has a Masters degree in human development from Harvard University. Although Elizabeth has a specialty in working with children, adolescents and families, she has experience in working with people of all ages who have difficulties with depression, anxiety (all forms – including OCD and phobias), grief, adjustment, parenting issues, motivation, self-esteem, relationships and trauma. Elizabeth currently divides her time between The Hills Clinic (on Thursdays and Fridays) and Macquarie University. Jenny Sanbrook
Jenny completed a Masters of Social Work in Couple and Family therapy at the University of NSW in 2005 and has experience working with adolescents, individuals with relationship problems, family conflict and couple issues. She is an accredited Mental Health Worker with Medicare which enables some clients to claim a Medicare rebate. Jenny also has experience in clinical supervision.
